It is our goal to help deserving families provide a Catholic school education for their children. The Archdiocese of New York and its Parishes, Inner-City Scholarship Fund and Children’s Scholarship Fund are making scholarship awards and financial assistance available for the 2018-19 school year. Funding for awards is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The earlier families complete their applications, the better their chances of receiving financial assistance. We do not inquire about the immigration status of any family for purposes of admissions or financial assistance. Who can apply for Financial Assistance? The earlier students apply, the better their chances of receiving financial assistance. New students completing both the Admissions and the Financial Assistance Applications by February 1, 2018 will receive decisions regarding acceptance and financial assistance no later than March 15, 2018, and likely sooner. Applications will be open after February 1, 2018, but the level of financial assistance could be lower and the decision timeframe could be longer. There is a non-refundable $35 processing fee for applying for financial assistance. Make sure you have all the required documents:only applications submitted with all required supporting documents will be considered complete for financial assistance processing. Required documents are listed at the end of the application. You will be able to select multiple schools on this Financial Assistance Application. You must also submit an Admissions Application for each of the schools that you list on your Financial Assistance Application. If you need to apply for admissions at additional schools, you can do so by visiting www.ApplyCatholicSchoolsNY.org. How is Financial Assistance awarded? Financial assistance and scholarships are primarily based on income eligibility. In addition, financial assistance and scholarships are determined within grades and income levels. The earlier students apply, the better their chances of receiving financial assistance. Final awards may be made through partner organizations. When will Financial Assistance awards be communicated? Financial Assistance Applications completed by February 1, 2018 will receive decisions regarding financial assistance no later than March 15, 2018 and likely sooner. Award emails will be sent beginning in February 2018. An application will not be considered for an award until it is fully completed and ALL supporting documentation is received by TADS. New students will not receive notification of their financial assistance award until AFTER they have completed their admissions interview visit and been accepted by the school. Please do not contact your school directly, as financial assistance decisions are made by the Archdiocese of New York, and not by individual schools. Please note: every effort is made to grant financial assistance to all those in need who qualify for our programs. Step 2: Send us the documents listed in the Document Requirements sheet. In order to complete this application, please have the following financial documents in front of you: your 2016 1040 tax form, 2016 W2 and if applicable other sources on income information. Step 3: Remit a non-refundable $35 application processing fee payable by credit card, check or money order. (Please note there is a $10.00 Insufficient Funds fee if you pay with by bank account and the payment bounces.) All information and documentation provided on this form is kept strictly confidential.
